I know, a lot of people who are going to France from the United States are heading to Paris.  If you have never visited Paris, by all means I would encourage you to go there once.  Paris is rally one of the most beautiful city of the world, and like any other large cities the city has  its share of noise and fast pace life.  However, Paris, also has its beautiful French taste to it with beautiful “terraces de café”, beautiful parks and quiet river shores where you can slow down and enjoy being there.

France The Headquarter Of Wine

wineryAmong the whole wine world, France is indisputably the headquarters.  Most wines on the world market from the the top ones to budget table wines are modeled after French wines.

Every bottles of Chardonnay are modeled after white Burgundy.  Every red wines of the world are labeled with the French grape names that they are made of such as: Carbernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Pinot Noir, Syrah and others.  All french grape names! Click here to continue reading



How To Taste And Describe Wines

I am a great lover of wines but I’ve never had much time for the wine-tasting and collecting game. For me, wine is for drinking and enjoying. Taste is, after all, so subjective.

I’m not interested in the scores, points and medals that have been awarded to a particular wine or vineyard. I can never remember what are supposed to be the really good years for various wines and I even have trouble remembering the names of many wines that I really like. Perhaps I’m drinking a little too much? Rather than rely on the scores handed out by various Sunday newspapers I trust my local wine seller, who I have been patronising for over a decade, to make sound recommendations and he has never given me a duff recommendation.
